The first Dunedin Chapter Rally was held in 1997. Apart from one year, it has been held in Aviemore on the last weekend in August.
It is run by Dunedin HOG Chapter in partnership with Edinburgh Harley Davidson, Dunedin’s sponsoring dealership.
The rally attracts over 10,000 visitors to the Aviemore and Speyside area during the weekend. Year on year the Rally has grown from strength to strength and attracts headline acts as well as local entertainers.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?
*Note – Pre-Registration when paid by credit card/debit card incurs an additional £3.07 per person via eventbrite.
- Pre-registration opens on the 23rd October for Members only, 8th January 2018 for all and closes on 30th June 2018.
- Includes Rally Pack and T-shirt.

- Sales of these tickets will be open until Saturday 25th August, 2018 or until all tickets are sold, whichever is the soonest (does not include rally pack).
- Please check tickets are available before travelling to the rally.
- We have a limited number of on-site Campervan/Caravan pitches.
- These are only available to those that have pre-registered for the rally.

- On-site camping is free to those that have pre-registered.
- Access to the campsite is security controlled.

How can I contact the organisers with questions?
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Please bring your ticket to the event, but if you do forget it we can register you using the details on your receipt e-mail or other ID.
Please note: Only the first check of your ticket will be allowed entry if more than one copy were to arrive, Rally Registration will be alerted that the ticket has already been used. If there is was a dispute, the details on the ticket would be checked against photo id.
How do I get a rally t-shirt and rally pin?
A rally t-shirt and pin is provided free with the purchase of a member’s early bird or a full rally ticket only. Tickets purchased after 1st July will not receive a free t-shirt or pin.
Your rally packs can be collected from the area in the main hotel reception on the Friday or Saturday between 10 am and 5 pm, unclaimed rally packs will be sold off on Sunday unless prior arrangement has been made for collection by someone else.
Do I need to purchase tickets for our children?
Children under 16 attend for free but do not receive a T-Shirt or Pin.
How do I book on-site accommodation?
You must quote your ticket number to book accommodation.
The hotel is unable to accept telephone bookings and bookings should be made online via www.macdonaldhotels.co.uk/aviemore for the Highlands, Aviemore and Morlich Hotels and Woodland Lodges.
Strathspey hotel bookings should be made by email only, a booking form is available HERE to download.
A deposit is required at time of booking and the balance will be collected between 30th June and 6th July 2017. Confirmation e-mails will be sent within 7 days of booking.

How do I add a caravan campervan pitch?
Please note: Campervan pitches are now sold out..
How can I pay for registration?
All credit card, debit card or cash transactions will be made in Sterling only.
Can I get a refund?
In the event of Thunder in the Glens being cancelled, rescheduled or changing location, you are entitled to a full refund of the face value of the ticket and any booking fees you may have paid. The event organisers will contact you if the event is cancelled and inform you how and when any refund will be paid back to you.
You are not entitled to a refund if you can no longer attend the event.
Can I just turn up with my caravan/campervan?
All caravans and campervans must be pre-registered. Unfortunately, these pitches are fully booked for 2018.
Do I have to pick up my rally pack?
The short answer is no, you don’t need to but we ask that all Rally’s packs are collected by end of Saturday.
Any packs not collected will be dismantled and t-shirts sold via our merchandising tent to other rally attendees.

Dunedin Chapter is a not for profit private club operted under the rules of Harley-Davidson Owners Group (HOG) rules. Our sponsoring dealer is Edinburgh Harley-Davidson.
