Unless indicated otherwise, the below events are for Dunedin Chapter members only.  You can register for all events and rides via your membership (in Join IT  – Click HERE) or access via the individual links below.

I day ride North but all welcome.

Leaving at 09.00, with a riding time of approx. 5 hrs 10min, the route will take in Banchory, Stonehaven, Aboyne, Tomintoul, Bridge of Alford (and much more in between!).

Stops at Potarch Café /Restaurant for morning coffee and Craigellachie for lunch.

Approx 70 miles to Holy Island. Park up and then time to explore the island and have some lunch. Bars & cafes to choose from or bring your own.

Trip home will be via Duns (A6112) optional visit to the Jim Clark room if there is any interest. From Duns ride back via Carfraemill to Dreghorn, approx 85 miles in total.

The RW Thomson Memorial Rally was first held in 1967 to honour R.W. Thomson (1822-73) the inventor of the pneumatic tyre in 1845 (UK Patent 10990). It has been organised since 1976 by the Robert William Thomson Memorial Fellowship which was formed to perpetuate his memory in 1975.

There will be two rides, one from the north and one from the south. Both rides will meet at Brechin Castle.  Both groups leave BCGC @ 11 am to ride into Mineralwell Park Stonehaven.

Ride to the birthplace of our National Flag then on to Glenkinchie Distillery for a tour and tasting. Round trip @ 50 miles. Cost for distillery tour TBC depending on numbers.

Chapter Ride to Caerlaverock Castle, Glencapel, Dumfries – Entrance £6.00

Meet at McDonalds Forth Road Bridge for a 10 am departure, Distance 110 Miles.

Chapter Ride to trace the route of the River Clyde & Clyde Valley.

Meet McDonalds, Forth Road Bridge leave 09.45 and onto the second pickup at EHD depart 10.00.  The route will take in World Heritage site of New Lanark, Moffat, Chatelerault Country Park (Hamilton) – Hunterson (Ayrshire coast). 255 miles.
