Patricia Neville, Dunedin Chapter Charity Officer was delighted to hand over a cheque,on behalf of the members for £265 to the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity

 Prior to presenting the cheque Chapter Director Alan McLeod introduced Roslyn Neely, the Chief Executive of the charity to the members, to explain how donations are spent.

Roslyn’s presentation covered not just how donations are spent but also the aims of the charity;

Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity believe that nothing should get in the way of being a child. They exist to transform the experiences of children and young people in hospital so they can be a child first and a patient second.

They support and complement the work of Edinburgh’s Royal Hospital for Sick Children (The Sick Kids) as well as other children’s healthcare settings across Scotland.

Support can be as simple as supplying stickers and certificates for the Children following a visit or procedure. Donations also go towards major fundraising for significant pieces of equipment that make the lives of the Children and their families easier.

The presentation was well received by Chapter members who were thrilled to be able to support this very worthwhile charity.
